Root Meal Delivery

Each week, SPUR volunteers pick up prepared meals from Root in Salem and deliver them to Plummer Youth Promise, a nearby residential social service provider for young people in foster care.  Root's mission is to help young adults create a pathway to independence through culinary training.  Root's youth employees produce meals for local seniors, families, and children experiencing food insecurity and for clients served by local social service agencies, all while learning essential life skills and job readiness to help them excel in the workplace.
