Personal Care Kits

Personal hygiene is important not only for staying healthy, but is also a meaningful way we treat our bodies with dignity and respect.  However for those experiencing homelessness toiletries can be both expensive and hard to store.  The personal care kits created by SPUR volunteers are filled with grab-and-go hygiene essentials and are distributed to clients at local shelters to keep them safe and healthy.  

 

SPUR collects travel-sized toiletries and hygiene essentials including shampoo, soap, body wash, toothpaste, dental floss, body lotion, and deodorant at the SPUR office and at Shubie's Marketplace.  Volunteers assemble the donated items into small toiletry kits for distribution.
